
The "Vietnam National Pavilion" launched on the Chinese e-commerce platform JD.com is Vietnam's first national pavilion on an international e-commerce platform. Through cross-border e-commerce, Vietnamese companies will have the opportunity to sell their high-quality products directly to consumers in importing countries.
On the morning of November 30th, Dang Hoang Hai, Director of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, announced at a press conference that the "Vietnam National Pavilion" officially launched on JD.com, in collaboration with JD.com (China's largest and most authoritative e-commerce platform), and major domestic and international partners including Vinanutrifood, Viettel Post, VP Bank, and Visa. This provides a platform for high-quality Vietnamese goods to be sold in the Chinese market through official channels.
In 2020, Vietnam's exports to China reached nearly US$50 billion. According to the Vietnam E-commerce White Paper, in 2020, Vietnam's e-commerce trade grew by 18%, reaching US$11.8 billion, making Vietnam the only country in Southeast Asia to achieve double-digit growth in e-commerce.
